Role Overview & Responsibilities
As an ALDI Receiving Associate, you check in inbound trailers and verify delivered product against purchase orders before it moves into storage.
- Inbound Trailer Check-In: Verify each inbound trailer's bill of lading against the scheduled delivery appointment, and unload product in a sequence that keeps the receiving dock moving without bottlenecking incoming traffic.
- Purchase Order Verification: Count and scan received cases against the purchase order quantity, documenting any overage, shortage, or damaged product before it is put away into storage.
- Quality & Damage Inspection: Inspect incoming product for damage, temperature abuse, or expiration date issues, and quarantine any flagged product according to ALDI's quality hold procedure rather than allowing it into active inventory.
