Role Description

As an ALDI Full-Time Assistant Store Manager, you provide dependable operational leadership across a guaranteed 38-to-40-hour weekly schedule. Working across rotating shifts, you assist the Store Manager with daily shift supervision, employee training, customer service management, and financial drawer audits. You take an active role in merchandising execution, product ordering, and ensuring store safety compliance. This role serves as a key career foundation for future Store Manager promotion. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence at the store (no remote options allowed).

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day store activities, directing associate tasks across stocking, cashiering, and cleaning.
• Assist with candidate interviews, associate onboarding, and hands-on operational training.
• Ensure compliance with cash handling policies, register safe balancing, and financial documentation.
• Oversee stockroom receiving, product inventory placement, loss prevention, and quality audits.
• Manage front-end queue speeds and resolve customer inquiries with high professionalism.
• Audit store ergonomic practices, identify safety hazards, and maintain equipment functionality.
• Assume full operational store responsibility when the Store Manager is away.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; prior retail or restaurant leadership preferred.
• Strong decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform retail work (lifting up to 45 lbs, standing, bending, reaching).
• Availability to work rotating full-time schedules including open, mid, and close shifts.
• Basic financial math proficiency and cash drawer audit experience.

• Job Type: Full-Time (100% On-Site).
