Role Description

As an ALDI Senior Assistant Store Manager, you serve as the primary second-in-command leader across all store operations. Bringing advanced retail supervisory experience, you assist the Store Manager in managing total store P&L budgets, talent development, inventory control, and operational compliance. You take primary responsibility for leading shift teams, coaching Assistant Managers and leads, and managing store execution during peak volume periods. This role serves as a final step before promotion into Store Manager positions. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence inside the retail store facility (zero remote capability).

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to manage total store operations, financial performance, and payroll budgets.
• Lead shift teams across stocking, cashiering, and inventory management, driving productivity standards.
• Mentor and coach Assistant Store Managers, Shift Managers, and store leads on operational execution.
• Oversee product ordering, stockroom inventory organization, loss prevention, and cycle count audits.
• Manage weekly labor scheduling and analyze store labor efficiency metrics.
• Ensure full compliance with workplace safety, food handling, and sanitation regulations.
• Assume full operational store leadership when the Store Manager is away.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Store Manager or equivalent retail leadership role.
• Strong analytical, organizational, team building, and communication abilities.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting (up to 45 lbs), bending, standing, and walking throughout shifts.
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Job Type: Full-Time (100% On-Site).
• Schedule: Full-time rotating schedule including open, mid, closing, weekend, and holiday shifts.
