Role Description

As an ALDI Interim Assistant Store Manager, you step into key supervisory assignments to support store operations during management transitions, new store openings, or peak volume periods. You assist local Store Managers with daily operational leadership, employee coaching, inventory ordering, and register safe auditing. This temporary or rotational leadership assignment allows experienced retail leads to gain multi-store exposure while building strong credentials for permanent Assistant Manager or Store Manager Trainee placement. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence at assigned store locations (no remote capability).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide temporary operational management support across assigned store locations within the division.
• Supervise frontline store associate teams across stocking, cashiering, and customer service tasks.
• Oversee stockroom receiving, product inventory accuracy, and cold-chain compliance.
• Reconcile cash register drawers, process safe drops, and maintain financial documentation.
• Manage front-end customer queue flow and resolve customer escalations with authority.
• Enforce workplace ergonomic practices, equipment maintenance, and facility safety standards.
• Support local management with staff coaching and onboarding.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; prior retail supervisory experience required.
• Strong adaptability, team leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Physical capability to perform retail management duties (lifting up to 45 lbs, standing, walking).
• Flexibility to work varied shift schedules and travel to assigned store locations within the area.

Job Type & Schedule

• Job Type: Full-Time / Temporary / Rotational (100% On-Site).
• Schedule: Flexible rotating schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
