About ALDI
ALDI is one of the largest grocery retailers in the world, operating more than 2,300 stores across the United States and backed by a network of regional distribution centers that keep every one of those stores stocked. ALDI built its reputation on a lean, no-frills operating model — a smaller assortment, efficient shelf-ready packaging, and a distribution network engineered to move product from dock to store shelf with minimal waste and minimal delay. That same lean philosophy shapes life inside our warehouses: smaller, more capable teams, real cross-training instead of narrow one-task roles, and wages built to attract and keep the best warehouse talent in the region.
What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)
"The voice headset tells me exactly what to pull and how many, so there is no guesswork, just speed and accuracy. I build my pallet, wrap it, and send it down the line. It is physical and fast-paced, but the pay is the best I have found for this kind of work in the area." - Current Order Selector, Jeffersonville, IN.
Role Overview & Responsibilities
As an ALDI Order Selector, you pick and build store-bound pallets using voice-directed technology — pulling the correct product and case count for each store order and stacking it to ALDI's load stability standard.
- Voice-Directed Picking: Follow voice-directed prompts to pull the correct case quantity from each assigned slot, confirming location and quantity before adding it to the pallet and correcting any slot discrepancy on the spot.
- Pallet Building: Stack each pallet in the correct sequence for load stability, placing heavier cases at the base, and shrink-wrap the finished pallet before staging it at the assigned outbound door.
- Accuracy & Rate Standards: Maintain the shift's target case-per-hour rate while sustaining near-zero picking errors, scanning each case to verify it against the order before it ships.
Benefits & Perks
ALDI Order Selectors earn a competitive hourly wage with shift differentials, plus paid time off, a 401(k) with company match, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
