Role Description

The ALDI Summer Student Store Associate position provides full-time or part-time seasonal employment for college students during summer academic breaks. Student summer associates work closely with store teams during high-volume summer shopping months, handling cashiering, freight restocking, produce merchandising, and store cleanup. This position allows students to earn substantial income during summer break, build professional logistics and retail management skills, and secure returning employment for future semester breaks. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence inside the store (zero remote capability).

Key Responsibilities

• Operate POS cash registers with high scanning speed and transaction accuracy during busy summer shopping rushes.
• Unload delivery trucks, stage merchandise pallets, and restock sales shelves across all store departments.
• Condition grocery aisles, front-facing products, updating shelf tags, and clearing empty packaging.
• Assist summer shoppers politely, resolving product questions and handling service requests.
• Execute store sweeps, spill cleanup, and cart corral management in parking areas.
• Participate in backroom stockroom organization and cardboard baler operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• Currently enrolled as a student in a college, university, or trade school returning in the fall (or High School Diploma/GED).
• Availability to work flexible full-time or part-time hours during summer break months (May through August).
• Physical capability for heavy lifting (up to 45 lbs independently), standing, bending, and reaching.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive customer service attitude.
