Role Overview & Responsibilities

As an ALDI Store Manager, you hold full profit-and-loss accountability for your location — hiring and developing your associate and Assistant Store Manager team, managing the store's full operating budget, and executing ALDI's lean operating model in a way that maximizes both customer experience and store profitability.

• Full P&L Ownership: Manage the store's complete operating budget — labor cost, shrink, and controllable expenses — against weekly and period targets, reviewing the store's financial performance with the District Manager and adjusting staffing and ordering decisions to correct any category trending unfavorably against plan.
• Hiring & Team Development: Own the full hiring process for store associates, shift managers, and the Assistant Store Manager position — screening candidates, conducting interviews, and building a team capable of running ALDI's lean staffing model, then developing high performers toward Shift Manager and ASM advancement.
• Store Standards & Vendor Coordination: Ensure the store consistently meets ALDI's merchandising, cleanliness, and customer service standards during every operating hour, and coordinate directly with delivery vendors and the district office to resolve any supply chain or facilities issue affecting store operations.
