Role Overview & Responsibilities

As an ALDI Buying Assistant, you support a national product category's buying team from ALDI's corporate headquarters — managing purchase order administration, tracking supplier performance data, and coordinating the product information updates that keep the category's assortment accurate across ALDI's store network.

• Purchase Order Administration: Create, track, and reconcile purchase orders for the assigned category's supplier base in ALDI's procurement system, resolving any quantity, pricing, or delivery date discrepancy directly with the supplier before it delays a product's arrival at the distribution center.
• Supplier Performance Tracking: Compile weekly supplier fill-rate and on-time delivery performance data for the category's Buyer, flagging any supplier trending below ALDI's performance standard so the Buyer can address it in the next scheduled supplier review call.
• Product Data & Assortment Coordination: Maintain accurate product specification, packaging, and pricing data in ALDI's merchandising system for every item in the category, coordinating with the labeling and quality assurance teams to ensure new product launches and private-label updates are reflected correctly before they ship to stores.
