Role Overview & Responsibilities

As an ALDI Warehouse Shift Supervisor, you lead a team of order selectors, equipment operators, and dock associates through a full distribution center shift — monitoring pick rate performance against the shipping plan, coordinating trailer loading sequences, and enforcing the safety standards that keep a high-volume warehouse floor incident-free.

• Shift Pick Rate Monitoring: Track real-time case-per-hour selection rates against the shift's shipping plan using the warehouse management system dashboard, identifying any selector or zone falling behind target and redeploying labor or adjusting pick assignments before the gap threatens an on-time trailer departure.
• Trailer Loading Coordination: Sequence outbound trailer loading against each store route's delivery schedule — confirming pallet staging accuracy at each dock door, verifying load counts against the manifest before seal, and communicating any projected late departure to the transportation team with enough lead time to adjust the route plan.
• Warehouse Safety Enforcement: Conduct rolling safety walks across the pick zones and dock area throughout the shift, correcting unsafe forklift operation, blocked emergency egress paths, or improper pallet stacking immediately, and documenting any near-miss or incident according to ALDI's safety reporting standard within the same shift.
