Role Description

As an ALDI Customer Service Assistant Store Manager, you lead front-end store operations, cashier queue efficiency, customer loyalty experience, and staff training. Working alongside the Store Manager, you ensure that shoppers experience fast, friendly checkout while maintaining front-of-house sanitation and pricing accuracy. You take charge of staff scheduling, front-end line management, and register cash auditing. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site leadership presence at the store (no remote work available).

Key Responsibilities

• Direct front-end checkout operations, monitoring line queue speeds and calling backup cashiers as needed.
• Oversee cash register till distribution, safe drawer balancing, cash drops, and financial audits.
• Handle customer service inquiries, return escalations, and pricing adjustments professionally.
• Train and coach cashiers and store associates on seated register scanning standards and customer service protocols.
• Manage front-of-house cleanliness, cart corral organization, and entrance presentation.
• Assist with preparing weekly employee work schedules aligned with customer traffic trends.
• Step up to manage overall store operations in the Store Manager's absence.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; prior retail or customer service leadership experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, team building, and customer resolution skills.
• Ability to perform physical retail tasks (lifting up to 45 lbs, standing, bending, walking).
• Flexibility to work afternoon and closing evening shifts consistently.
• Experience in cash drawer management and point-of-sale systems.

Job Type & Schedule

• Job Type: Full-Time (100% On-Site).
• Schedule: Full-time schedule including afternoon, closing evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
